JSA TRYstar Racing at the Bank of Queensland Hobart Duathlon Series, Race #1: Sun 23 July @ 9:00am at the Baskerville Raceway.

Calling all 7 to 12 years olds who love to run and bike…
Triathlon South, in conjunction with Triathlon Tasmania and naming rights sponsor JSA, have launched a Winter TRYstars series for the younger athletes who love to run and bike.
The details:
Registration opens: 8:30am
Race Briefing: 8:50am
Start: 9:00am
Distances:
- 7-9 year olds: 500m Run/2km Ride
- 10-12 year olds: 1km Run/4 km Ride
- Each TRYstar’s first race is FREE, for all other races you must be member ($40 for the season) – join here
- Non Members are $10 per race
Duathlon Winter race dates:
- Race 1: Sun 23 July 9:00am – Baskerville
- Race 2: Sun 13 August 9:00am – Baskerville
- Race 3: Sun 10 September 8:30am – Seven Mile Beach
And once you have completed the Duathlons, we will have Triathlons to follow in Summer!
What you will need:
- Safe bike (must have working brakes and fit the child appropriately)
- Helmet (Australian standard and fit appropriately)
- Running shoes
- A parent or responsible adult on site while you race/participate
- Don’t forget, if you are a bigger kid, you can enter the Sprint or Short Course distance duathlons and information on these can be found on the enter events page now.

Each TRYstar’s first race is FREE, after that it is $10 per race per child. BUT, if you have a keen kiddo or two, we highly recommend a junior club Season membership for $40 which will get your child free entry for the Club’s JSA TRYstar 2022-23 race season, saving you heaps of cash (and time at each entry).
