Triathlon Australia recently launched a new club-focussed membership portal – GoMembership – to provide an enhanced user experience for clubs and members, making it easier for everyone to manage their own membership and provide enhanced functionality for clubs to also better understand their membership.
You can log into the membership portal by visiting: https://triathlonaustralia.justgo.com
Triathlon Australia provides a very handy Frequently Asked Questions page to help you navigate your membership in the “JustGo” portal, and it can be found at this link
Triathlon South, in partnership with Club Sponsor, Try a Tri, offers formal swim training sessions, under the guidance of TA Accredited Coach, Peter McKenna.
As at May 2023, swimming sessions are four times a week at the YMCA Clarence Aquatic Centre, and you must contact Coach Pete to check availability as some sessions are fuller than others:
– Tuesday (one lane), Wednesday (one lane) and Thursday (two lanes) mornings at 6am to 7am (50 min sessions)
– Saturdays 6:30am to 7:30am.
The cost is $10, payable to Coach Pete McKenna poolside (do not pay pool entry fee).
Pete also offers run and ride sessions which are shared via a post on the clubs facebook page. You are encouraged to contact Pete directly to discuss your needs. Pete also offers formal coaching services at reasonable rates.

There are other accredited Triathlon coaches available (just go to the TA website for a list), as well as a myriad of free run squads and informal training groups. There are various rosters over Summer and Winter to keep you motivated, such as the Southern Athletics Winter Roster (which consists of both Cross Country and road races on Saturday mornings) and the Tasmanian Ocean Swim Series run by the surf clubs over Summer, as well as fun runs and park runs aplenty. Tasmania has some great free, cheap and reasonably priced events all year round, you just need to get to know your local triathlon club members who can point you in the right direction.
The Club offers some kid-friendly races at nearly all our events through the TriStars program – usually a modified triathlon or duathlon – supporting younger aspiring triathletes aged below 13 years. We encourage children to have fun and enjoy every aspect of the sport. There are always advertised along with the adult races and held usually a half hour before the main races.
