The Strategic Multisport Challenge 2017 is event no. 6 of the Triathlon South 2016-17 triathlon race series.
We welcome all newcomers to give this great event a go, in a fun, safe and supportive environment. The distances for the multisport are releatively shorter than many multisport events and this is to provide a stepping stone for those wishing to give a multisport event a go – either in a team or as an individual. The format for the multisport is a paddle, mountain bike and trail run.
The paddle is in the beautiful clear (and usually calm) water from Bambra reef following the lauderdale shore and return, with the bike course utilising local sealed roads to connect to the Tangara Trails and a short winding uphill climb to the start of the Wallaby Track (single track purpose-built for this event) to the highest point of the course that offers riders amazing views of some of Tassie’s great coastline. The trail run is on beach, hard packed coastal walking trails and local roads and verges.
The comprehensive race booklet outlining the race schedule, course description and maps is now available to download. Please review before race day.
Come and support your local triathlon club. This race is open to the public and team entries are most welcome.
